The Heatenergists Group (HEG) is led by Prof. Bingyang Cao (曹炳阳), dean in School of Aerospace Engineering, Tsinghua University. HEG’s research areas are mainly focused on: (1) Heat transport in nanostructures, including Non-Fourier transport effects and thermophysical properties in amorphous or heterogeneous nanomaterials of semiconductors, polymer, metals etc; (2) Thermal functional materials, such as thermal interface materials with high thermal conductivity, smart materials with tunable thermal properties, heterostructure nanomaterials in nanoelectrics or energy; (3) Thermal management technologies, i.e. simulations, measurements, design and devices in integrated circuits, energy, laser, spacecrafts etc. HEG’s research is interdisciplinary and involved in microelectronics, energy, aerospace, thermophysics, micro/nanofluidics and material sciences.

HEG is opening 3-5 postdoc fellowship positions. Candidates should have solid background in at least one of the following areas: micro/nanoscale heat transfer, thermal management technologies, thermal functional nanomaterials, applied physics in terms of heat energy, CFD/MD/MC/LBM/first principles simulation methods. Interested applicants please get contacted with Prof. Bingyang Cao with a resume together with a complete publication list. Prof. Bingyang Cao's group recruits 1~3 postgraduate students every year, and we would like to host visiting scholars and students from oversea or national universities. [Open from Jan. 2023]
