Bingyang Cao is full professor and dean in the School of Aerospace Engineering, Tsinghua University. He is fellow of Asian Union of Thermal Science and Engineering, International Association of Advanced Materials, and Engineered Science Society. He currently serves as Delegate of the Assembly for International Heat Transfer Conferences, Secretary General of the Asian Union of Thermal Science and Engineering, vice-chair of the Thermally Conductive Composite Committee of the Composite Society of China, member of the Heat and Mass Transfer Society of China, etc. He was awarded MOE New Century Talented Scientists Program (2011), Excellent Youth Funding of NSFC (2013), Wu Zhonghua Outstanding Young Scholar Award from CETS (2014), Outstanding Young Scientists of NSFC (2018), First Prize of Natural Science of MOE (2019), IAAA Medal of International Association of Advanced Materials (2020), Elsevier Highly Cited Researchers (2021, 2022). He is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of ES Energy & Environment (ESP), editorial member of 9 international journals, including Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter (IOP), Scientific Reports (NPG), PloS One (PloS), Materials (MDPI), Advances in Materials Research (KAIST), Energy Storage and Saving (Elsevier), etc.

Xin Ran received his B.S. degree (2016) and Ph.D degree (2021) from School of Aerospace Engineering, Tsinghua University and joined the group in winter 2022. His research interests include multiscale heat transport, interfacial transport, developments of numerical methods, thermal managements of electronics and thermoelectrics.

Dr. Ding Luo received his PhD degree (2022) from the joint program between Jiangsu University and University of Nottingham. He joined the group in summer 2023. His research is mainly focused on thermoelectricity and its applications.

Dr. Bin Li received the PhD degree from Yeungnam University in South Korea and joined the group in spring 2024. He is interested in droplet impact dynamics and thermal design of liquid immersion-cooling system.

Dr, Hongwei Duan received his PhD degree (2024) from Peking University. He joined the group in summer 2024. His research is mainly focused on heat and mass transport in the nano-scaled fluid and its applications.

Dr, Hongda Li received his PhD degree (2023) from  Rocket Force University of Engineering. He joined the group in  December 2024. His research is mainly focused on heat dissipation of high-density power devices.

Dr. Yifan Li reveived his B.S. degree (2015) from ECUST, and Ph.D. degrees (2020) in chemical engineering in the University of Akron. He is currently an associate professor in Shanghai Polytechnic University. His research interests include micro/nanoscale thermal characterization and thermal functional materials.

Dr. Ding Wenyang earned her PhD from the University of Tokyo in 2024 and joined the group in Winter 2025. Her research focuses on nanoscale thermal transport in low-dimensional materials.

Liu joined the group in autumn 2019 after he received the B.S. from Shandong University. His research direction is focused on thermal simulation and optimization of electronic devices.  

Yang received his B.S. in the Department of Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University and then joined the group in autumn 2019. His research focuses on nanoscale thermal transport of phase change memory materials, including atomic-level simulation and experiment.

Li received her B.S. from Tsinghua University and then joined the group in autumn 2020. Her research focuses on the design and optimization of micro-channel heat sinks for chip cooling.

Qu joined the group in autumn 2020 after he received the B.S. from Shandong University. His research direction is focused on nanoscale thermal transport.  

Yang joined the group in autumn 2021 after he received the B.S. from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on first principle investigation on nanoscale heat transport.

Shen joined the group in autumn 2021 after he received the B.S. in the Department of Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University. His current research is centered on the multiscale electrothermal simulations of electronic devices, utilizing a skill set grounded in Python, C, and C++ for scientific computing and software development.

Tang joined the group in autumn 2022 after he received the B.S. from Tsinghua University. His research focus on nanoscale thermal transport.

Dong joined the group in autumn 2022 after she received the B.S. from Shandong University. Her research direction is focused on nanoscale thermal transport.

Liu received her B.S. from Tsinghua University and then joined the research group in autumn 2023. Her research focuses on the transient thermal response of semiconductor heterostructures.

Liu joined the group in autumn 2023. His research direction is focused on the mechanism of heat and mass transport in membrane distillation process.

Guo joined the group in autumn 2023 after receiving his B.S. from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on bringing machine learning method to nanoscale thermal transport.

Liu received her B.S. from Shandong University and then joined the group in autumn 2024. Her research focuses on nanoscale heat transport.

Wang joined the group in autumn 2024 after receiving his B.S. from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on heat transport characteristics and mechanism in superlattices.
