The Seventh International Symposium on Micro and Nanotechnology and the International Workshop of Young Scholars in Heat Transfer and Energy will be held in Qingdao, China, from April 26~28 in 2019. The International Symposium on Micro and Nano Technology (ISMNT) started from 2004 are a series of meetings sponsored by the Pacific Center of Thermal-Fluids Engineering (PCTFE). The previous six ISMNTs were held in: 2004 in Honolulu (USA), 2006 in Hsinchu (Chinese Taipei), 2009 in Seoul (RoK), 2013 in Shanghai (China), 2015 in Calgary (Canada) and 2017 in Fukuoka (Japan). As a special session of ISMNT7, the International Workshop of Young Scholars in Heat Transfer and Energy (IWHTE) is simultaneously organized by the Young Scientist Committee of Chinese Heat and Mass Transfer Society, of which all participants are specially-invited outstanding young scholars in the field. Prof Bingyang Cao serves as the chair of IWHTE2019 and the cochair of ISMNT2019. Mr Yuanbin Liu attended the conference and delivered an oral presentation entitled "Physically motivated dimension reduction for machine learning of thermodynamic properties of multicomponent fluids".
